9th European Academy of Forensic Science Conference (EAFS)

In 2022 the biggest European Forensic Science Event – the so-called European Academy of Forensic Science Conference – will take place in Stockholm, Sweden, on May 30 – June 3.
EAFS 2022 is organised by the National Forensic Centre (NFC), a department within the Swedish Police Authority, under patronage of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI).
The objective of this conference is to explore developments in the forensic science community reflecting the needs of law enforcement agencies combating organised crime and terrorism as well as new areas of criminal activities. Its program will comprise topics such as technology transformation, digitisation of forensic process, forensic data science, forensic human factors and forensic social responsibility.

FDE Linked (Forensic Document Examiners Live INternational Knowledge Exchange on Documents) is a virtual event that will take place over a rolling 24-hour period at the end of March 2023. The organisers aim to provide an excellent, free, professional development opportunity for FDEs at all levels, and regardless of location. Key organizing societies, the American Society of Questioned Document Examiners and the Australasian Society of Forensic Document Examiners Inc, are donating the funds for the virtual event, which will take place over a rolling 24-hour period. The event is scheduled to commence at:

  • 10 am AEDT (Sydney, Australia) on Friday 31st March 2023
  • 7pm EDT (New York, USA) on Thursday 30th March 2023
  • Midnight BST (London, England) on Thursday 30th March 2023

and continue without significant breaks, moving through time zones until the next day. Each time zone will include one x 2-hour panel session and at least two x 2.5-hour scientific sessions at a reasonably scheduled time.
